Timelapse: Digital Timelapse
31 01 2010
Timelapse photography is a technique use in cinematography where frames are captured at intervals from one another and then replayed at normal speed giving the viewer the impression that processes such as the growth of plants or the sun and stars in the sky that would normally appear subtle to the human eye, become very perceptible with time-lapse photography.
The idea is to take a shot, let’s say, every 5 seconds of a cloudy sky for 5 minutes and play it back at 25fps giving us a clip of 1 minute length of a beautiful fast moving sky.
The following videos were created using this technique by Tom Lowe that did an outstanding job.

Timelapses of this kind cannot deserve a better soundtrack than Pink Floyd, enjoy Learning to Fly.
